The Pelican Rapids Vikings traveled to Fergus Falls to play Hillcrest LutheranAcademy on Thursday.  The Vikings swept the Comets 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-18).

“The Vikings made a goal to communicate better on defense and cover the block better,” commented head coach Heidi Isaman.  “I felt we made progress on these 2 goals, but realize we have a long way to go defensively to compete with some of the harder hitting teams that we have coming up soon on our schedule.” 

The Vikings also improved their serving in their victory over HLA.  After serving only 80% on Tuesday, they were 90% against the Comets.  Lizzie Pfeifle was the ace leader with 5 while Erika Morgan had 4 and Mackenzie Strand had 3.  Anna Skow-Anderson and Erika Morgan hit...
