    Comet Girls Fall at Home to C-G-B

    The Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines defeated the Hillcrest Comets 50-44 in a non-conference girls basketball game on Tuesday night in Fergus Falls.  The Wolverines held a 27-22 halftime lead and outscored the Comets 23-22 over the final eighteen minutes of play.

    Comet Boys Win in Underwood

    The Hillcrest boys basketball team avenged an earlier season loss to Underwood with a 45-31 victory over the Rockets on Tuesday night in Underwood.  The Comets held the Rockets to 31% shooting on the night and won the battle of the boards, 25-16.  Hillcrest made 44% (17/39) of their field goal attempts.

    Hillcrest Boys Basketball

    The Hillcrest Boys Basketball team is the Pizza Ranch Restaurant Team of the Week.
     
    The Comets won two games this past week, running their winning streak to four and improving their overall record to 8-7 and the Little Eight Conference mark to 7-3.

    Otter Tail Nordic Ski Season Ends  

    The Otter Tail Nordic Ski team ended their season with their Section 8 championships at Camp Ripley on Tuesday and the makeup of their Central Lakes Conference meet, which they hosted at Spidahl's Skigaard on Friday, February 8.  Their meatball dinner annual fundraiser which was scheduled for Sunday night has been postponed and will be rescheduled.

    Hillcrest Boys Beat Ashby for 4th Straight Win

    The Ashby boys basketball team suffered their fourth loss of the season and second Little Eight Conference loss Friday night at the hands of the Hillcrest Comets. The Comets recorded their fourth straight win and pulled to within a half game of the Arrows and Battle Lake in the conference standing.
