Hillcrest students recently participated in a field experience that very well could change their lives.

Many Americans have undoubtedly heard of the Occupy Wall-street campaign. Replete with educated and the under-educated, these marches call for social justice and a leveling of the financial markets and hierarchies.

As Hillcrest students engaged in a weekend church support trip, they also were guided through a practical ministry component with the Occupy Wall-street protesters. Armed with a video camera and concerned heart, Hillcrest students approached the protesters, seeking to understand their plight. They navigated around topics of redistribution of wealth to show how we have been designed to be producers, not consumers worthy of handouts.

Below is a short video from the weekend. You'll discover how students listened, prayed for and shared the hope of Christ.
