Di ane
Ihrke is starting her fourth year as Resident Life
Director in the girls dorm. She graduated from Lutheran
Brethren Bible College in 1984 and from NDSU with an
Associate of Arts in Nursing in 1981. Her past experience
includes Dean of Women at the Bible college for three years
and two years as the Assistant Dean, while attending
college. She has worked at Lake Region Hospital for 11 years
as an RN and when she started her family did home daycare
for two years. Her children, Sam (7) and Zeke (4), live with
her on the top floor of the "Old Castle".
Stacy Nilsen is starting her second
year as a Resident Life Assistant.
She attended Hillcrest as a dorm student for both her
junior and senior year and graduated in 2000. In 2004, she
graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor
of Arts in English and Spanish. Prior to working at HLA, she
taught for a year at Torrington Christian Academy near her
home in Connecticut. Following God's call, Stacy
moved to Fergus Falls last August and looks forward
to another year in the dorm.
Emily Benson is another one of our assistants on the
Resident Life Staff. Emily grew up in Succasunna, NJ with
her mom and dad and two fabulous sisters. She kept very
busy with soccer and basketball at Roxbury High School
before heading to Messiah College in Pennsylvania. She
graduated
 with a
degree and teaching certification in Health and Physical
Education. She played soccer in college and is now
enjoying coaching at Hillcrest. Emily taught middle school
in Pennsylvania for one year before finally making the
move to the chilly Midwest. She is a New Jersey girl at
heart but is loving the Hillcrest family.
