The Hillcrest Lutheran Academy football team scored thirteen straight second quarter points and then held on for a 13-10 win over Brandon-Evansville on Friday night as the Comets won their home opener.

Sean McGuire hauled in a two yard pass from Jake Isaac to get the Comets on the board just seven seconds into the second quarter, giving the home team a 6-0 lead.  A 14-yard run by Kyler Newman and an extra point kick put the score at 13-0 with 9:37 left in the half.
