Comet Camps with Mentoring Moments

In this second installment before the Christmas Break the gradeschool children have seen an intensity in their Bible Studies which is translating to an intensity on the court. Head Men's Coach Gregg Preston has been going through a number of life experiences he has had as a successful high school athelete and talking about the opportunities God gave him to befriend and show Christ to his classmates, friends, and competitors. The gradeschool children have also seen some added care as the Varsity Basketball players from both the Men and Women's programs have been leading their small groups through ball handling and devotions on a weekly time-frame.

A Crash Course Varsity Players

In what has become a highlight for many gradeschool children, the Hillcrest Varsity players of 2009. Try-outs haven't even gotten underway and Captains practices are still loosly attended, yet these committed players make it a point to get up before their noon wake-up-calls from their parents to join the Student Affairs Department in mentoring these students.
