40 Days for Life Video Shown in Chapel

Hillcrest students have been concerned about the issue of abortion. As a school we have been addressing the issue of abortion in a variety of presentations on our campus. Friday's chapel service was no exception.

The video above is a short video played during the worship time at Hillcrest. The video gives an overview of the 40 Days for Life campaign that Hillcrest's Students for Life club is attending throughout the next month. Please Click HERE>> to watch the video.

Students for Life Club Offers School-wide Opportunity

Hillcrest's Students for Life America (SFLA) club is participating in the 40 Days for Life campaign. As part of the campaign the school is offering a prayer vigil opportunity to the Hillcrest community on Sunday Oct. 14 and 28 from 3:30-8:30pm.

Hillcrest's SFLA club is offering a bus for parents and students to attend the prayer vigil at the Fargo Women's Clinic, which conducts weekly abortions. The evening will provide a time of prayer and singing with a time of debrief following the prayer time.

If a family would like to participate in either of these prayer vigils please email Wayne Stender (wstender@ffhillcrest.org) to communicate how many will attend.

Chemistry Goes Historic

Armin Jahr's Chemistry class took a step into history as he presented the class with the Shroud of Turin. An ancient relic believed by many to be the burial cloth used on Jesus Christ, the Shroud has become a chemistry experiement that weaves in strands from history.

Students in Mr. Jahr's class are starting a new chapter studying isotopes. Many adults will struggle to remember this lesson from high school, but Mr. Jahr's introduction will leave you with an appreciation that students are understanding the limits of Science and the reason of faith.

From the Desk of the President

Hillcrest felt very fortunate to start its school year with a number of excellent presentations from a world renowned apologist.   Apologist Alex McFarland, Director of “Truth for the Next Generation” challenged students in their new year at Hillcrest to use Scripture as the basis of all truth, and to confidently proclaim to their generation the reality of God.  McFarland made a significant impact on the students during the school day, and then presented his material in the evening at a forum that was open to the local community.
