The weather was much better but not the result for Hillcrest as Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley defeated the Comets 12-2 in the completion of a suspended game from two weeks ago.
The game had been called after C-G-B had taken an 8-0 lead in a driving rain and with the bases loaded. When the game resumed on Tuesday, Logan Nordly doubled with 2 outs to stretch the lead to 11-0.

Devon Apgar and Mark Undseth each allowed 3 earned runs and 3 unearned runs while Anthony Satran went the distance for the Wolverines allowing 2 runs on 8 hits while striking out 1 and walking 1. Max Torgerson doubled and singled and scored 3 times to lead C-G-B.

Ethan Wentzel and Kevin Castro each went 2 for 2 to lead the Comets with Kevin driving in both runs with a double in the fourth inning. The Comets finished 6-8 on the year in the Pheasant Conference. Their next action will be on Tuesday, June 1, pending the result of section seeding to take place on Thursday.
