Inside the Classroom

Students at Hillcrest have continually had the case for the unborn presented to them. This week, Gregg Preston made the case as he spoke from his experience.

Educated in a secular environment, Mr. Preston painted a picture of understanding that he had developed through his education. Being taught that the issue of abortion revolved around a woman's rights, Mr. Preston introduced students to his experience of renewal as Biblical principles transformed his thinking.

Field Experiences Set HLA Students Apart

Many students at Hillcrest have communicated that they have grown in their faith through a rigorous worldview presentation at HLA. Principal Isaac, in his opening words to the student body this year, commented that he is going to be presenting a case for the Biblical worldview through Hillcrest Academy.

Students this week had the opportunity to not only learn what a Biblical worldview entails, but they experienced it. Joining with a church in Minneapolis, students participated in a round-table discussion with a Muslim, Native American, South African Christian and an Indian researcher. Following a debrief time from this session, students ministered to protesters associated with the "Occupy Wall-Street" campaign. One of the students from the weekend experience commented, "It's like we were learning about worldview in our classes, but now we're actually experiencing it".

Students were also able to stand for the unborn at the Red River Women's Clinic. They plan to do this three more times before the 40 Days for Life campaign ends on November 6th.
