The reality, of course, is that we are becoming more and more marginal to the big issues of society with each passing day, and the primary reason this is so is because we have been practicing abstinence. I don't mean sexual abstinence, of course. A glance at your church's nursery on Sunday will demonstrate that we seem to be doing fine in that department. Rather, What we have abstained from over the past generation is speaking the truth of God into every area of life with passion, consistency, and lived credibilty.
The video-link above will take you to The Principal's Desk blog in the Hillcrest website. This week Mr. Isaac's class read the above article by T.M. Moore, a pastor and administrator with the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview. The class discussed Mr. Moore's idea of Christians abstaining from discussing and living-out a Biblical perspective of relevant issues with their neighbors.
We encourage you to read the article, view the video and read the post. You will once again be brought into an intimate classroom setting where you'll be able to understand how the Biblical perspective is being reinforced within our classrooms.
