The Breakdown

Stefani Germanotta is afraid of ghosts. The full-time singer, known to her fans as Lady Gaga, employs a team of paranormal investigators, armed with specialized equipment, to scout potential hotels when she is on tour. Many people reporting on Germanotta's fear have chalked it up to a belief in fairy-tales, legends and ultimately a myth. Something that New York City, who recently selected Gaga their "person of the year" in their annual ball-dropping Times Square ceremony, has seen on numerous billboards throughout the city.

The picture above is a billboard posted in New York City and is the topic of this week's Principal's Blog. Check out the story and the basic framework students are being trained with that enables them to stand against the claims of Germanotta and the American Atheists.

Winter Weekend in The Midwest

Hillcrest has a strong relationship with many Bible-camps throughout the USA. One that has grown with Hillcrest over the years is Inspiration Point (IPBC) in Clitherall, MN. Strengths of IPBC are their ability to draw high school and Jr. High students to the cross through their retreat-like atmosphere off of Spitzer Lake in central Minnesota.

IPBC hosts an annual Winter Weekend for students over President's Day weekend in the month of February. This year they are bringing back camp favorite Bob Tissot to present a weekend on Purity and Holiness. Because of such traditional high-demand for camps that Mr. Tissot addresses, the camp has elected to host two weekend camps to accomodate the high demand and meaningful information that Bob presents to the hungry students.

Please consider signing your student up for one of the camps by visiting Hillcrest staff will work closely with IPBC to ensure all students wishing to attend have the opportunity.
