Apologist John Stonestreet is a father. He understands the challenges many of us face regarding parenting and how much we should allow our students to be exposed to the world. His video above is a stance we have taken at Hillcrest; to prepare students to understand God's communication to us, His plan in History and how we are to respond to the marred design we're left with until Christ returns.
Watch John Stonestreet's implore to build out concave chests by correcting our posture towards culture as Christians. Classroom conversations on this topic are frequent at Hillcrest Academy, giving families so much more than a diploma.
AXIS: What is Technology For?
AXIS is a worldview team of post-college young adults. They travel the world communicating a Biblical worldview through interactive presentations on pop-culture and media.
On a recent trip through Minnesota they spent 3 days at Hillcrest Academy. We captured part of their chapel presentation to allow parents and Hillcrest friends to see some of the conversations started as Hillcrest continues to work in equipping students to live a life of significance. A Night of Healing: Stories of Loss and Redemption
Abortion is a complex topic that is affecting our teens in a number of ways. Hillcrest's newly founded Students For Life group recently took a stand on the streets of Fergus Falls and is preparing for their part in the annual 40 Days for Life campaign in our region.
As students are preparing for their on-the-street service projects, Bethel Lutheran Church is also gearing up for the 40 Days for Life campaign by hosting a panel consisting of four women who have an abortion story to share. The women speak about their regret following the abortion of their children, but also communicate the hope they have in Christ following pains related to their abortions.
The panel will address Hillcrest students on Monday, September 17th during chapel before their evening presentation at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church (LBC). We encourage families to attend the event, A Night of Healing: Stories of Loss and Redemption, on Monday, September 17th at 7pm in the Bethel LBC Fellowship Hall.
