Going Deeper in the Gospel

As Craig Nersten began moving the chapel chairs into small circles we had an idea that his plan for the Sports Week Formations chapel service was a little unorthodox. Standing at the door, Craig began to place students into specific groups, separating students based on ethnicity and gender. The result was almost 15 separate multi-ethnic groups that would engage in Craig's theme for the late night session. Craig's big idea was to challenge students by letting them know his goal for the year.

The Principal's Blog this week introduces some of the training students will receive in the dormitory during their family group bible studies. To read the entire Principal's blog CLICK HERE>>.

Move-In Highlight

Move-in time is exciting at Hillcrest. This year brought a plethora of new students who traveled from around the world to receive warm welcomes from the local and returning students at Hillcrest Academy.

Check out this quick highlight to see some of the faces and activities for students throughout their first day in the castle. You can watch the highlight on the Hillcrest Academy Video Blog.

Sports Week Formation Meetings

Students enjoyed a number of spiritual formation meetings throughout the sports week. A few faculty and staff members shared their heart and what their hopes are for the school year. As we recorded these sessions we were impressed by how attentive the students were, showing a great deal of maturity and also a desire to receive the intentional discipleship and mentorship the faculty and staff are offering students.

You can view a few of the sessions at our Campus Ministries Blog.
