This week Principal Isaac takes a few minutes to share his passion for the second semester at Hillcrest. Gathering with the film crew before 1st period Principal Isaac explains some of the marked differences between the first and second semester, detailing his appreciation for the growth and maturity evident during the spring semester.
Weekends at Hillcrest have been hopping as students have enjoyed the January broomball tournament. January and February also bring weekend basketball games where Hillcrest fans packout the gym and cheer for friends.

HLA Today Does Fall Recap
Hillcrest's Journalism class has been putting in extra hours documenting student life at Hillcrest. As part of their final exam each reporter wrote a feature length article on an impacting part of Hillcrest that they've experienced this year.
You'll have a chance to hear some of the purpose behind sports week, learn some of the special experiences students in band receive and hear about the dorms from an insider. You'll also read a testimony from Amanda Doiron and discover some of the accomplishments the Guys' Soccer team achieved this year.

Inspiration Point Winter Weekend
Inspiration Point (Ipoint) is a Bible Camp affiliated with Hillcrest Academy. A number of Hillcrest's dorm staff work at Ipoint in the summer and during retreat weekends.
February 14-16 is the high school winter weekend retreat at Ipoint. This year the topic is purity and holiness. The weekend is a highlight for many students. The camp is currently booked-up, but camp officials encourage you to call and register for the waiting list as they hope to have a full camp and anticipate room may open.

No School | MLK Day
There is not school on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Key Club Meeting
Hillcrest's Key Club service group is busy scheduling fundraisers for Compassion International. Their meeting on Tuesday at 2:20pm will work to finalize details.
Saturday, January 25th is the SAT Test scheduled at Hillcrest Academy.
Cantable Performance at Calvary Free Lutheran
Sunday, January 26th the Cantable female ensemble will travel to Calvary Free Lutheran Church to contribute to the worship service. The service begins at 10:30am.
