Students From Africa Attend HLA 100 Years After Missionary

In 1914 Berge Revne sat in a stuffy classroom in Grand Forks, North Dakota listening to a tear-filled teacher. Revne's collared shirts were tucked into his slacks, and his blue eyes and boyish blonde hair gave away his Norwegian roots. His chruch history class was taught in his native tongue, and through the Norwegian language, and this simple course in church history, Revne’s heart was pricked for the African continent. Hillcrest has 5% of this year's student body from Africa. The history and affinity for foreign cultures and welcoming them into our community holds a strong history. READ MORE HERE>>

Highlights from Phelps

Students enjoyed an afternoon of swimming and burgers last weekend as part of the Phelps Mill Picnic activity. The dorms are planning special events every weekend, and this one is used by God to build foundations for life long friendships. WATCH THE PHELPS MILL HIGHLIGHT HERE>>

Steve Undseth stepped on the stage Friday morning to address the students. With his Bible on the podium he pulled out his glasses and started to explain to students the significance of starting at square one. His explanation of the theme is a strong move forward as we continue to give students a Biblically-based perspective of the world LISTEN TO THE CHAPEL MESSAGE>>

Students are conspiring together, seeking to be conduits of encouragement to their fellow classmates.
