Dominican Mission Team Lives Easter in Final day of Mission

"Two teen mothers gave their hearts to Christ after reading with us Ephesians 5. That's right, Ephesians 5. When has that happened in this history of the world? It was so powerful. I don't remember a time being part of an evangelism outreach where the Holy Spirit was so evident. Wow! It was such a great day." That's how Principal Isaac started his final correspondence to Hillcrest before the team packed up to venture back to Hillcrest earlier this week. Choir Preps for Tour

The Hillcrest choir is preparing to carry on a 100 year tradition of touring the United States to share what God is doing at Hillcrest. The tour is traveling to the East Coast this year, and we invite you to look over the itinerary and make plans to attend a concert. The group is starting their blog on Monday, leaving for their tour on Friday, April 13 with a concert and alumni gathering at Oak Hill Lutheran Brethren Church in Bloomington, MN. READ THE ITINERARY HERE>>


DR Relationship Revistied

Hillcrest students caught a glimpse of how their time in the Dominican Republic is part of a much larger story of how God is reaching into the island country. 

In their afternoon mission time, the group sat in desks that were fundraised by a Hillcrest alumna, Ahna Lacey, whose brother attended the mission experience the year before Ahna did. Ahna raised funds to update the desks, sparking a close and personal relationship with the Santa Fe school, run by a man named Pastor Freddie. TO READ MORE ON THE HISTORY OF HLA IN THE D.R. HITs Underway

The great Hillcrest get-together is April 7&8. The Hillcrest Invitational Tournament, known as the HITs, are a fifty year tradition where churches from around the country send teams representing their church to compete in a basketball tournament. This year there are 60 teams registered to play in the two day tournament. The championship games will start livestreaming tonight at 3:30pm. CHECK OUT THE HIT BRACKETS HERE>>
