Your contributions are making a significant impact in the Hillcrest community this year. Our enrollment is up and your contributions have helped a handful of students attend Hillcrest this year. Thank you for your ongoing support. The momentum from your giving is propelling Hillcrest into the future.
We are blazing new territory as we launch a Giving Day during Homecoming weekend. We have a $50,000 gift to double giving on the Hillcrest Giving Day, Friday, October 12. The gift sets up a dollar-for-dollar match up to $50,000. If we reach our goal of raising $100,000 over this weekend we will reach a quarter of our total giving goal for the Hillcrest Fund.
The Hillcrest Fund is a critical fund at Hillcrest Academy. Inside this fund there are a handful of scholarships designated for families who are experiencing a financial crisis or who are in a place of significant need in addition to financial aid given through our endowments.
The Hillcrest Fund also enables us to fund the salaries of our faculty and staff, the people who are communicating Christ to our students each day. Hiring is not an easy task at Hillcrest because the bar of excellence in our teachers is very high. We hire staff who not only can teach their subject matter, but who also are passionate about mentoring and caring for students spiritually and emotionally. The Hillcrest Fund provides support for us to find and retain quality God-honoring staff.
The Hillcrest Fund also subsidizes every student’s tuition by approximately $2,000 from the full cost of tuition. This enables families in middle-class church communities to consider our discipleship training program who may not have considered a boarding school to build the faith of their student. We see the difference in boarding school mentorship, and Hillcrest’s time-tested approach is life changing and unique. We are honored to carry the tradition of Hillcrest Academy, and we thank you for your ongoing support.
Please mark your calendar for the Hillcrest Giving Day, Friday, October 12. You may visit the Hillcrest website on October 12 to give, or send your donation by mail to President’s Office at 610 Hillcrest Dr., Fergus Falls, MN 56537 with a note to apply your donation to the Giving Day. Every donation received by mail with a note to apply the gift to giving day before October 12 will be applied to have the dollar-for-dollar match.
Grace and Peace!
