Comet Football Closes Season with Eyes on Playoffs

"I was proud of the way the guys finished the season," commented Head CoachCharlie Brue of Hillcrest.  "With two defensive starters out, we had difficulty stopping a very good offense which featured hard running sprinkled in with a few long connections. Now with playoffs starting we hope we can get everyone healthy and make a good run for it.  Nathan Christenson, Jared Christenson and Chris Tungseth had great games for us on both sides of the ball.  I felt our passing offense picked up some steam in the second half."

Hillcrest was led by Reggie Undseth who ran for 75 yards on ten carries and caught two passes for 30 yards.  Chris Tungseth (4-52), Jared Christenson (4-51) and Nathan Christenson (4-46) were the leading receivers for the Comets.  Jake Isaac completed 18-of-33 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown.  The Comets had 405 total yards, adding 189 rushing yards to Isaac's 216 yards passing.
