Volleyball Season Ends for Comets

“Overall, I was very pleased with how we played as a team tonight,” commented Head Coach Dessica Veum. “We kept our composure through the momentum changes of the match. We had trouble getting our legs underneath us the first set. The gym was quite a bit longer than we are used to and the depth perception messed with us. Second set we came out strong and played to win. Kara Nash led us in kills tonight with ten and she got most of them that second set. Laura Tungseth served strong all night with five aces and kept them out of system for much of the third set. It was point by point and could have gone either way. The fourth set we played hard but at times tentative not wanting to make mistakes. It was a bittersweet moment watching the four senior girls end their volleyball season together, not just as their coach but also as a mom to #7. I am proud of each and every one of the girls who wore a Hillcrest Varsity jersey this season.”
