Hillcrest faced the Ashby Arrows Thursday night and defeated them 92-29.
Hillcrest made 7-of-16 (44%) three-pointers and shot 58% (37/54) from the floor. They were led by Jake Isaac (23 points, 10/17 FG, 6 rebounds, 3 assists), Ben Herzog (14, 6/6 FG, 7 rebounds, 2 steals) and Micah Jones (11 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists).
“All 13 of our players tonight played with great intensity, hustle, and teamwork,” stated Coach Gregg Preston. “We delivered over 20 assists with Chris Tungsethleading with 5, Micah Jones with 4 and Sean McGuire with 4. Our offensive delivery of the basketball has been really good this early in the season and it has led to some very high percentage shots. Jake Isaac scored 21 of his 23 points in the first half, Ben Herzog added 14 and Micah Jones with 11 and all 13 players added to the scoring column. Again, I have been really pleased with the contributions and effort of every player this year.”
