The Hillcrest Comets pulled out a win on Tuesday night (Dec 30) against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal with a final score of 55-35. Even though they were missing some players due to the Christmas break, the 13 boys who were there played very hard.

Jake Isaac led the Comets with 14 points, while Micah Jones had 10 and Kyler Newman 9. Jared Christenson contributed 7 rebounds, and Ben Herzog added 6, which helped the boys control the game. The Comets shot 47% on the night.

Coach Preston noted the difficulty of a mid-break game. “Our execution on offense was not necessarily perfect, but I liked our effort, team defense, and rebounding.” The Comets, who are now 6-1, are looking forward to playing Pelican Rapids on Tuesday night, January 6.
