Owls Top Comets 6-4

On Monday night the Comets faced the Hancock Owls in a tough battle. The Comets gave up a 4-0 lead early in the game, but the Comets rallied back to tie the game 4-4 in the 3rd inning. Reggie Undseth singled and scored on a double by Evan Malmstrom. Sean Mcquire reached on an error and stole second. A wild pitch scored Malmstrom, then Jared Christenson scored Mcquire on a triple, to finish off the rally Chris Tungseth tied the game with a RBI single.

The Owls pushed 2 runs across in the 6th inning to retake the lead 6-4. The 6th inning for the Comets was very sloppy and they couldn't recover from their 2 run deficit, losing the game 6-4. The Comets move to 3-3 in the Pheasant Conference. They will take in Pelican Rapids Tuesday night for a non-conference match-up.
