Comets Win Tight Battle Against Pelican Rapids

Comets were down 11-12 with 2 outs in the 6th, but Johnny Eckhardts two out bases loaded single finished off the scoring 13-12 in last nights game in Pelican Rapids. Pelican Rapids was down 11-4 and rallied 8 runs to take the lead 12-11 before Johnny got his game saving single. 

Reggie Undseth, Jordan Foss, and Sean Mcquire all pitched in last nights game, but it was Sean who sealed the game. Pitching 3 and 1/3 innings to close out the game leaving the Vikings hitless. 

The Comets at the plate were led by Jared Christenson with 4 hits, Reggie, Sean, Chris Tungseth, and Evan Malmstrom each picked up 2 hits as well. 

The 4th inning was a disaster to say the least. The Comets gave up 6 runs on just 2 hits. There was 5 walks and 2 hit batters and many mental errors in the 4th. During the 5th inning the Comets gave up the lead to the Vikings 12-11 leading to Johnny's game winning single. 

The Comets move to 4-3 on the season and look to take on Barnesville Thursday, April 30.
