Bio:

Liv is a Fergus Falls native and a 2002 Hillcrest graduate. Before her employment at Hillcrest in 2011, Liv taught ESL classes in both the US and in China. Moving back to Fergus Falls after working overseas, she found herself thrilled to be near family again, but she missed the opportunity to experience diverse cultures and to interact with people whose backgrounds are different from her own. To her surprise, God provided a way for her to have the best of both worlds through Hillcrest. Many of the students Liv comes in contact with have no prior understanding of God or the Christian faith. She welcomes the chance to expose students to the life-changing truth of the Cross.

Hillcrest’s Bible courses give students the chance to see that the Christian faith is not a collection of disjointed rules and creeds, but a view of the world based upon the character of God as He has revealed Himself to us through His Word.
— Liv Rogers

Liv’s passion is for students to discover the truth of God's Word for themselves as they read, study, discuss and apply Scripture to their lives.  G.K. Chesterton summed it up well when he said, “If Christianity should happen to be true – that is to say, if its God is the real God of the universe – then defending it may mean talking about anything and everything. Things can be irrelevant to the proposition that Christianity is false, but nothing can be irrelevant to the proposition that Christianity is true.”

In addition to her work at Hillcrest, Mrs. Rogers enjoys playing and teaching violin, reading, camping, spending as much time with family and friends as she can, and learning alongside the students how to live out the great truths that she gets to teach about in her classes.
