Lynette Tonneson

Born on Christmas Day in Minot, ND, Lynette completed her schooling all the way through college in her hometown, obtaining her BA in Music Education at MSU. Lynette continued to give back to her community with her gift of music, teaching private piano lessons for 40 years, directing the choir and handbells at Our Redeemer’s Church in Minot for 25 years, and teaching Bible and music at Our Redeemer’s Christian School for 13 years. Lynette and her husband moved to Fergus Falls in 2016 and this is her second year teaching choir at Hillcrest.

Music has always been an important part of Lynette’s life. The loves teaching in a Christian environment where she has the freedom to to express the greatness of God through music.

My goal is to connect music to life—to help students gain understanding so that music is a part of their everyday lives in worship, service, and mission.
— Lynette Tonneson
