This year the theme is FreeDone. After an hour discussing important aspects of the previous year, Hillcrest staff and instructors settled on the theme FreeDone in June. Hillcrest's creative team set about capturing the concept that salvation is found in Jesus Christ and it is wholly free. The theme verse from Galatians 5:1 reiterates a truth that staff want students to internalize this year. Namely that their salvation rests in Jesus Christ and it is already accomplished. Throughout the summer Hillcrest staff have been praying over the student body. While many students will see their teachers care, Hillcrest staff make a strong impact on the lives of the students as well. FreeDone is Hillcrest's theme this year. It is a concept the oozes out of the classroom where students hear a lot about freedom and grace. Hillcrest's classrooms have a lot to say about retaining freedom and teaching students the concepts that build a free people. Band and Choir Retreat
Saturday, October 3 from 7-10pm is a band and choir retreat. A bonfire followed by team building will be held at the Jahr house.
Mall of America

Thursday and Friday, October 15 and 16, is the Minnesota Educators Association weekend. There are no classes Thursday and Friday.
