The home of Hillcrest Academy was purchased in 1935. The Castle sat dormant for nearly two years before the Church of the Lutheran Brethren bought it. After extensive renovations, the Bible School, which later became Hillcrest Lutheran Academy High School, started classes in the fall of 1936.

Since that time, the Castle has seen countless updates and renovations. The class of 1969 is taking a special step at preserving the building where they and nearly 100 other high school classes grew in their faith.

The Castle steeple is in need of updating and repair. The vision is to update the wood work around the steeple, while also repainting and providing a new roof to the iconic marker that stands over the city of Fergus Falls.

The goal of the Steeple Renovation Project is $40,000. All funds raised will go towards the renovation of the steeple and the necessary updates surrounding the structure of it. Thank you for your generous donation to the Steeple Renovation Project.
