Hillcrest is a lively and welcoming community where students from different countries, states, and the local area come together to learn and grow. Teachers work hard to build strong relationships with students, and returning students eagerly welcome new friends. Classrooms are active and engaging, helping students grow academically, deepen their faith in Jesus Christ, and build lasting friendships.

Hillcrest offers a number of avenues for parents to track the life of the student during their time at Hillcrest. Postings on social media (Facebook, and Instagram) give an insight into the classroom and school culture. Hillcrest also offers LiveStreaming of specific Hillcrest activities. This is a great chance for parents to watch their child play and/or cheer in the stands.

Hillcrest is a powerful learning environment for international students because our program is grounded in the Bible. We believe every person is created in the image of God and reflects His character. This shared foundation places every student on equal footing and shapes how we learn, teach, and live together.

Hillcrest provides academic counseling and support as well as medical support for our students, including:

School Guidance Counselor: A licensed professional counselor who provides academic, social and emotional support

Registrar: Follows student’s academic progress

Academic Dean: Supports student’s academic progress

School Nurse: Provides medical help during the school day

Athletic Trainer: Provides injury support for our student-athletes

Main Office Coordinator: Provides front-line support for students during the school day

Hillcrest strives to keep our students busy with activities. Students can participate in sports and a variety of clubs - exploring interests and building friendships in a supportive community. Other opportunities include:

• School athletic events

• Residence Hall activities

• Fergus Falls community events

• Special trips (approximately once a quarter)

• Hillcrest operates a full-functioning catered kitchen for boarding students

• Food is served on a rotational basis and includes three daily food options - hot meal, deli sandwich, or salad bar

• Accommodations are made for food allergies

• There is also a kitchenette in the residence hall for students use

Uniforms are required for all Hillcrest Preschool-11th Graders. We partner with Lands’ End as our primary vendor to provide high-quality, durable, stylish clothing for your students. You may choose from polo shirts, t-shirts, pants, shorts, skirts and dresses, as well as more casual options of sweatshirts and fleece jackets.

Hillcrest takes campus security very seriously. We lock down the campus each night. Nightly checks in school hallways and residence halls provide a constant physical presence and campus security check. Portions of Hillcrest's campus are under video surveillance to provide continued campus security.
