President Update - “This is Where The Lord Grabbed My Heart”

A little while ago, I sat across the table from a Hillcrest alum who served on the mission field. “It was at Hillcrest that I first sensed God calling me to something greater. That’s where the Lord grabbed my heart.”

Just days later, I heard from another graduate who quietly, and with tears in his eyes, told me, “Hillcrest saved my life.” He shared how, in a time of deep personal crisis, it was the care of the Hillcrest staff, the truth of God’s Word, and the presence of Christ on this campus that gave him hope when he had none.

Last week, a current student came up to me, beaming, and said, “I can’t wait for school to start again.” When I asked her why, she said, “Because Jesus is everywhere there."

Stories like these aren’t rare. They’re the heartbeat of Hillcrest.

These stories are why, this fall, as we begin our 109th school year, we are boldly asking for your prayers, your partnership, and your support.

God is moving. Will you stand with us?

Join us in prayer.
As we prepare to welcome students from around the world, we’ve entered into 30 Days of Prayer for Hillcrest. We’re asking the Lord to prepare hearts, empower faculty, unify our community, and provide all that’s needed. You can find the daily prayer focuses on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Invite someone and help them get here.
Do you know a student who needs Hillcrest? A young person who would thrive in a Christ-centered, academically rich, spiritually vibrant school community?

It’s not too late for this fall. We are still welcoming new students, and we want to help make it possible. If the Lord puts someone on your heart; reach out. Tell them about Hillcrest. Introduce them to us. If you’re willing to help cover their tuition or support a student in need, let us know. We are praying that God would stir hearts not only to invite but also to provide.

Because for many students, one invitation, and one sponsor, can change everything.

Come alongside us in support.
This is a critical time for Hillcrest. Momentum is building. Lives are waiting to be changed. With this growth comes real need.

We cannot do this without you. Your generosity makes possible the very stories I shared above. From scholarships and dorm renovations to teacher training and spiritual formation; God uses your giving to fuel the mission.

If you’ve already given; thank you. If you’re considering a gift, please know: now is the time. The first days of a school year set the tone for the entire year. We need to be fully resourced and fully ready.

You can give today at: www.ffhillcrest.org/give

“He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

In just a few short days, our halls will fill again with the sounds of laughter, worship, learning, and life. Once again, we will witness what we’ve seen for 109 years: God will be faithful. Students will encounter Christ. Truth will be taught. Lives will be transformed.

Thank you for being part of this story.

With hope and deep gratitude,

Luke
