NBA SKILLS COACH
JARED BERGGREN was born & raised in Princeton, MN where he graduated in 2008. During the Summer months he played AAU basketball for the nationally-ranked Howard Pulley Panthers.
After growing to 6'10 in high school, Jared was offered scholarships to schools all over the country. He eventually chose Wisconsin, where he was a 2nd team All-Big 10 selection after his senior season.
Jared enjoyed a successful six year professional career playing in some of the best leagues around the world! Jared also spent time with several NBA teams playing in the NBA Summer League.
FAITH INTEGRATION COACH
GREGG PRESTON grew up around basketball every day. After leading his high school basketball team to a State finals in the 80s, he stepped into coaching with some of the best coaches in Wisconsin.
Gregg took his coaching overseas, leading basketball teams throughout Europe to share the Gospel using sports. After accepting a position to Hillcrest Academy, he started coaching basketball and formed a program that built faith and basketball to take mission trips to Florida, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Albania.
Gregg now leads Hillcrest’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes and trains Hillcrest players how to pray and share their faith teammates and opponents alike.
