“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all!”
Lower School (Grades K-5)
At Hillcrest, our goal is to create a joyful and engaging environment where high academic standards meet rich Christian character formation. Every day we inspire students to learn, grow, and discover the unique gifts God has given them, helping them reach their fullest potential.
In our Lower School, students are invited to explore the world through a classical curriculum that expands their horizons and sparks a lifelong love for learning. Young children have an incredible gift for memorization, and we joyfully harness that ability in every subject: math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), language (letters, grammar rules, vocabulary, Latin), and history (names, dates, places), and more.
Our teaching methods are vibrant and hands-on — filled with projects, recitations, song, bible integration, and memorable field trips. Students chant, sing, and engage in activities that make learning both meaningful and fun. Guided by caring teachers, Hillcrest students learn to recognize and delight in what is good, true, and beautiful in their studies and everyday life.
Through a Classical Christian education, our students become well-rounded, confident, and curious lifelong learners — ready to shine in an ever-changing world.
